Another way of getting back where you already are

A prestigious address (rue d’Ulm in Paris). For logistic reasons the entrance has been moved to rue Lhomond. People, of course, keep coming to rue d’Ulm, only to negotiate a badged door. Signage purports to explain how to get on the other side of the door – not to any other place inside the building – because this is what users want. Tree hundred meters is the cost of the detour. Some questions are left open in this communication device. It looks as if we are asked to come full circle. Is this a circuit? What is the sign telling us?
